How to choose where to start

Most people do not arrive with a diagnosis in mind. They arrive because something has become hard to carry: sleep has gone, work has slipped, arguments at home keep repeating, or a feeling of dread has settled in and will not lift. You do not need to pick the right page before getting in touch.

If worry, panic or physical tension dominates, start with anxiety treatment. If the main experience is heaviness, loss of interest and exhaustion, read depression treatment. Where intrusive thoughts drive repeated checking, washing or mental reassurance, OCD treatment describes the exposure and response prevention approach that works for it. After a frightening or prolonged experience, trauma therapy explains the paced, safety-first way that work is done.

Where the question is one of clarity rather than treatment, ADHD assessment and psychological assessment provide structured testing and a written report. And where the difficulty sits between people rather than inside one person, relationship counselling covers communication, conflict, boundaries and self-worth.

What all of this work has in common

Whatever brings you, the structure is the same. The first sessions are used to understand the pattern and build a shared formulation: what set this off, what keeps it going, and what would need to change. From there you work with specific methods, drawn mainly from cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy, described in full on the approach page.

Progress is reviewed openly rather than assumed. You will know what you are working on and why, and you can ask at any point whether it is helping. Not everyone needs long-term therapy; some difficulties resolve within a focused block of sessions.

Who provides these services

All sessions and assessments are conducted by Ms. Mansi Tanna, an RCI-licensed clinical psychologist (registration A105936) with an MPhil in Clinical Psychology. She is a clinical psychologist, not a psychiatrist, and does not prescribe medication. Where medication may be worth considering, she will say so and can coordinate with a psychiatrist alongside therapy. More detail is on the about page.
